Carman's Diner

It's always a great place for lunch if you're in town. Menu & Prices as of July 20th, 2023. The only thing even remotely negative is the size of the fish, but for the price, it's completely reasonable.

The food was fabulous, loved the atmosphere, the waitress was amazing that we had tonight , she made the whole experience so wonderful.

Oh boy! I couldn't wait to get home and write a review about this diner. We were visiting from out of town, and we asked someone locally the best place to eat in town, and without hesitation, they said, "Go to Carman's Diner." This diner has been in business for over 60 years and is still owned by the same family. The atmosphere and architecural style hakens back to the 60s to a place where everyone knows your name, and you would spot warm smiles everywhere. There was even a juke box on each table if you wanted to hear some good old classics. I was already in love with this place before we even got our menus. The food was excellent, and our order was perfect. In short, this was a perfect outing for us. We highly recommend this place.

Had dinner the night before and breakfast the following day. Had Roast Turkey with mashed potatoes for dinner and mini-breakfast which consisted of one egg, bacon home fries and toast which was quite filling. Service was good evening and morning. The butterscotch pie was exceptional.

The best thick shakes in the world! We heard about this diner when we were on a river cruise in Europe. Fantastic! Friendly people and clean washrooms, too.

Great little dinner, friendly and knowledgeable staff. We had the seafood chowder and it was absolutely delicious, not to mention having more lobster, haddock, crab and clams in it than our last three seafood meals combined! We had a 2-piece haddock entree which was fried in a batter rather than breaded, not greasy at all, scrumptious in fact. Nice variety of soups, sandwiches and entrees and very reasonably priced.

I had the pleasure of arriving at the establishment just moments before closing time, and to my delight, I was greeted by a team of friendly and welcoming staff. Their warm and inviting service made me feel truly appreciated, despite my late arrival. As I sat down to enjoy my meal, I was pleasantly surprised by the exceptional quality of the food. Each dish was prepared with utmost care and attention to detail, resulting in a culinary experience that exceeded my expectations. The flavors were rich, the ingredients were fresh, and every bite was a testament to the chef's culinary expertise. What made the experience even better was the reasonable price at which this memorable dining experience came. I found the cost to be fair and reasonable, especially considering the high-quality food and the overall enjoyable atmosphere. In summary, my visit was a wonderful experience, from the friendly service I received upon arrival to the delectable food that satisfied my taste buds, all at a price that left me feeling content. I will definitely cherish the memories created during this visit and eagerly look forward to returning in the future.

What a sweet diner! Clean and friendly, a blast from my past. The thick milkshakes are the best!
